This mixed-use building is located at the southern edge of the historic district. It is designed to consider the mostly Victorian homes in the surrounding context. The design team achieved variances in order to make the building height more visually compatible to fit within the neighborhood. The materiality contrasts the cool tones of the grey colored bricks and blue-grey of the siding with rich warm accents of mahogany wood at the canopies and entrances. The entrances are oriented to encourage pedestrian activity in this walkable neighborhood. It is the ideal destination for food-oriented retail with apartments above along this commercial coordidor bustling for more street activated design.
